All for a WISH: Its about time I introduce my #OSCharityFusion competition

by Julie Meyers Pron on June 17, 2010 · 7 comments

Julie NecklaceAs I’ve been sharing all week, next week begins OpenSky’s first ever charitable competition: OpenSky Charity Fusion, where 5 blogger shopkeepers worked with 1 designer to create signature jewelry pieces for their favorite charities.

The official competition starts next week, but we’ve been celebrating this week with a lot of hype. All of the designs and charities are beautiful and, since its all for charity, I wish everyone well with their sales.

Bailey from Makeover Momma created a bracelet and earrings to benefit Fisher House

Kelly from Kelly Tirman made a Faces of Tomorrow necklace

Kelly from The Centsible Life designed a set of Feeding America earrings and necklace

Linda from SheSez dreamed up a necklace and earrings for Hollywood Arts

And, of course, I can’t leave out my own Wish necklace and earrings, benefiting a local preschool’s new scholarship fund.

All bloggers participating are donating a portion of the proceeds from sales of these items from June 21-28 to their charity and The OpenSky Project is matching our donations. The blogger who sells the most pieces will be awarded a double match–OpenSky will match her totals again in donations for her charity.

I’ve chosen to donate 100% of my proceeds, which, for this necklace will be $9.99. OpenSky will match that with a $9.99 contribution. And if I sell the most pieces in our competition, OpenSky will double match, for a total of $39.96 per sale. That’s a beautiful donation to a very worth cause: preschooler”s education, comfort and security when their families are in need.

Please, come back next week for instructions to purchase a WISH necklace and/or coordinating earrings.
