Tip: Buy your teacher gifts now

Okay. So I know it is so totally not the season, but its time to think about your teacher’s holiday gifts. Last night at Old Navy* I found $5 travel coffee mugs. They’re simple white with a sleeve in a different color (all one piece, the sleeve is meant to look like its not attached, but it is.) It really looks likeĀ  a disposable coffee cup from a local vendor.

Through June 29, everything at Old Navy is 30% off. So I scooped up 6 mugs for $21. Come the holidays, I’ll put a Starbucks gift card inside and I’m done. Or I’ll wrap it up with several K-cups.

Its all about finding the right gift in the wrong season… Even my husband couldn’t believe I was buying gifts before I met the teachers.

Share your tips for buying teacher gifts this summer. What great bargains did you find?

*the mugs are in-store only.
