So proud of my Thanksgiving table that I just have to show it off! Remember all my researching for ideas? It paid off! I'm now, officially, seasoned in setting a Thanksgiving table. Borrowed the cookie place-tag idea from Martha Stewart. And I'm not giving it back! And the dinner... we have lots of leftovers! Notice the Villeroy & Boch Urban Nature Fruit Bridge? I used it for vegetables. The Villeroy & Boch Urban Nature Serving Dish was used on the bar. I love the modern look of it. … [Read more...]
Setting the DVR for fall premieres
Shows I definitely want to watch this season: Monday: 90210: hmmm. Looks like I missed the premiere of this one, as it changed to Mondays and started last night. Lucky thing. My DVR is still set from last year. Two and a Half Men (premieres 9/20): With all its inappropriate humor, you gotta love this one for several laughs. Tuesday: Parenthood (premieres tonight!): I missed last season, but have heard its a winning show from so many twitter-friends that I'm adding it to the list for this … [Read more...]
Reflecting: Don't You Dare Compare JC with Manny!
Remember when Manny Ramirez was reported for testing positive for using a steroid? We're huge Phillies fans here, so I was pretty irate when I heard comparisons of he and JC Romero, a Phillie favorite. Here's what I had to say about it last year on Philly Moms Blog. So proud to be a SMU CCPR graduate; I'd love to go back and do it all over again
Image via Wikipedia When I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor's in Public Relations, my class had about 17 other students. The following year, Meadows School of the Arts changed the title of the major to Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, and the program has grown immensely. I'm proud of my education, I loved my social life and the ability to be an active member on the campus while a student. Having moved back to Pennsylvania, I've felt disconnected for … [Read more...]
Celebrity Apprentice 2010 Recap: Episode "910"
Episode 910 (I never knew there were official numbers, oops) began with a laugh out loud comment as the remaining 5 are called back to Mr. Trump, following Cyndi Lauper's firing in episode 909. While the group is waiting to go downstairs, Bret Michaels announces that Curtis Stone is "always in the bath" and better not being doing another Duece. "Don't be doing a "deuce!" he exclaimed. Mr. Trump commended the group for getting so far but tells them that, yes, someone else is about to be fired. … [Read more...]
