I was curious... perhaps you were, too. What are the ten most popular posts on Just Precious in 2011? Here's what was visited most often, according to Google Analytics. Boden Warehouse Sale Fashion Haul This vlog highlighted my first experience at the Boden Warehouse Sale. I found a lot of great deals this last winter, and, apparently, the world wanted to know. I have Shingles. Gimme a break. (with #breastfeeding information. #bfing )
Please note: this is not medical advice. This is the advice I have been given as a breastfeeding mother who has Shingles. So, unless you're new to this blog you probably know that I'm a pretty busy lady. Let me recap: PTO President e-boutique owner active blogger on many sites freelancer starting a consulting company night school teacher working on a Philadelphia-area-blogger-collective-group-thing (that I'm not going to try to explain right now) mom of 3 (one of which is … [Read more...]
Breastfeeding: Supportive Friends and Family are a Necessity
A few nights ago, the Huz and I met up with a younger, childless couple for a drink. We hadn't seen Regina in a several months and she was extremely interested in learning about Little. After a brief discussion of Little's milestones, Regina asked "are you still" cover-boobies-in-with-a-shrug "breastfeeding?" "Sure!" I responded. "I breastfed Big 'til he was 13 months, and Middle for 12 months. Its easier to keep breastfeeding than not at this point." "Really?" she shivered. "Doesn't it hurt? … [Read more...]
All 'Bout Breastfeeding, part 2
My approach for breastfeeding Middle was very different. I had been there, done that. I was, short of formal lactation consultant training, a pro. I wanted to try breastfeeding, but I'm not so sure I had confidence in breastfeeding. I set a goal: I was going to try this and make it workn for 6 weeks. And, honestly, I didn't like it at first. No. Really. It was awkward. A bit uncomfortable. And I felt like I had a choice: completely … [Read more...]
I'm a Bravado Mama! Sweepstakes and big Breastfeeding News
With 2 and a half years of breastfeeding under my (ahem) bra, I have a bit of experience with bras. I've used cheap ones. I've used pricey ones. I love nursing tanks, when they work right with the outfit. And at other times, a crossover tank is perfect. Tonight I'm wearing a Bravado Sublime bra and I love that I finally found a sexy, comfortable bra that's supportive and still accessible for breastfeeding. In the past 6 years I have hated, hated, hated all of the bras I went through because of … [Read more...]
