Last night I wrote a quick post about saying "I love you" and exchanging hugs and how great it makes us feel. You know. To love. I concluded with "I'm not sure the kids noticed." So I went to sleep. And I couldn't stop thinking about that last line. Because I really, truly hope my kids have noticed. The comfort of love
We had a tragedy occur at our preschool this week, a teacher's husband passed suddenly. He was young, young enough to have children still in high school and, as it happens when someone you know and associate with has a tragedy, it hit close to home. I barely know the teacher, but hearing this news made my eyes well, and I called the Huz as soon as I was alone in my car. I just needed to hear his voice. To tell him I love him. Marriage, Relationships: Its a Job
About a year after I was married, my cousin asked me to be in her wedding. I accepted. Two weeks later, she called for a heart-to-heart: what's it like, marriage?
