I don't think there was a "Wow!" moment for me. Not one moment, anyway. I look back now at pictures of me on the phone with the doctor, hearing the test came back positive. Was that my moment? Was it when, a few weeks later, my husband and I met with the doctor and agreed that we would do every test possible to be sure we were prepared for our baby? It seemed that teachers would be working the registers at a local McDonald's and "a percentage of all sales" would go directly to the school. (Note the word "a", and not a number. Like so many other parent volunteers, I do this out of love for my children, the school that I’ve chosen for them, and for their future.
